Gearing Up For the Finals
The Design-a-Hole Judges Have Had Their Say, Be Here on Monday

After meeting for hours and seeing the Golden Tee masterminds at work, a taste of which can be seen above, the 2014 Design-a-Hole Contest is ready for the next step.

More than 100 golf holes were submitted to this year’s contest, ranging from the extreme to the straightforward. The creators of Golden Tee—spearheaded by course designer Jim Zielinski—had the task of sorting through each one.

After agonizing over every tree, tee box and potential game-changing shot, the list of more than 100 is now down to 10.

“It’s never easy,” said Jim Zielinski on the process. “The submissions have improved drastically since we started this contest, and once again the players delivered. Narrowing an impressive group down to a small collection was a challenge, but we’re very happy with the finalists.”

One of the 10 designs featured over the next few weeks will be featured as a living, breathing obstacle in Golden Tee 2014. Our winner will also receive their very own Online Golden Tee Home Edition—so yeah, the stakes are high.

And it all gets underway (again) on Monday, when we’ll reveal the first finalist.

We’ll then reveal one each weekday for the next two weeks, and we need your help.

The Golden Tee Facebook Page will serve as our Design-a-Hole hub in this time, and your feedback on each design is encouraged. The judges will then take all feedback into consideration, reassess each design once more, and announce our winner.

The contest has only just begun. See you on Monday.
