Less than a week away, Power Events’ Golden Tee Tour is set to take over the Windy City.

The Windy City Open will take place at Gatsby’s Pizza and Pub in Arlington Heights on June 20 through June 23. More than just a Golden Tee event, Gatsby's will be providing unique beer (and vodka) samples and also giving away a trip to Vegas!

Also, do you really need an excuse to enjoy outstanding food, drinks and Golden Tee for a weekend? (The answer here is, of course, no).

The action kicks off on Thursday with a Closest-to-the-Pin tournament that costs $10 to enter. On Friday, the popular handicap tournament will be played, and entry into this event is just $25.

The handicap tournament has quickly become one of the most exciting times of the weekend. Anyone can win, and the level playing field creates a fascinating event before the real tourney begins.

On Saturday, the main event gets underway. This will begin with a five-course qualifier on Saturday, and the top 32 finishers will then be placed into the main bracket. Bracket play will begin on Sunday, and the 2013 Windy City Open Champion will be crowned later on that day.

Interested? Register for the event on Power Events’ official website. You don’t have to sign up ahead of time to play, as walkups are always welcome, but why wait? And if you simply want to watch some of the game's best duke it out, you're welcome to do that also.
