Before we get to the Players Charity Championship in June, there’s still an enormous tournament on the horizon. Power Events’ Missouri Open has quickly become one of the marquee events of the year and it’s now less than a month away.
The yearly staple will take place April 10 through April 13 at Redbirds Sports Café in Hazelwood, MO, the host location over the past few years. In that time that event has grown in both size and popularity, becoming a wonderful weekend for the game you love and one of the Golden Tee’s most coveted titles.
On Thursday, April 10 the event will kick off with a Closest-to-the-Pin Contest at 7:30 p.m. Entry into this event is just $10. The focus will then turn to the popular handicap tournament on Friday night, where anyone has a chance to win. Entry into this event is $25.
And on Saturday, the main event will get underway. Qualifying will take place at noon, and all five 2014 courses will be played top determine seeding. The top 32 players with the highest qualifying score will be placed into the main bracket, while all other participants will play in the purple bracket.
On Sunday, match play will begin and the Missouri Open champion will be crowned early that evening. Entry into the main event is $100, and there’s also a $20 hole-in-one pot available.
Don’t miss what promises to be the biggest Golden Tee weekends of the year. The Missouri Open also happens to be Masters Weekend, and what better place to enjoy it all—golf both real and virtual—then Redbirds.
