Enjoy the Sun and Plenty of Tee at Power Events’ Florida Open

The first Golden Tee tournament of the season is closing in fast, and Power Events’ Golden Tee Tour will soon be back in business.

Oh, what an enormous year of GT it will be. Six stops are on tap—including a Players Charity Championship this summer—and it all begins in Orlando. BackStage Billiards will play host to the Florida Open on Feb. 6 through Feb. 9, kicking off the PEGT Tour in the warmth.

The tournament will get underway that Thursday with a Closest-to-the-Pin contest. As if you needed any further excuse to get to Florida early, you now have one. The following day, a handicap tournament will be held, giving everyone in the room a shot at winning free entry into the main event. If you haven't played in a handicap event before, you should. They are an absolute blast.

The main event will then get going on Saturday with the staple five-course qualifier. The top 32 finishers will then be placed in the main bracket.
On Sunday, double-elimination match play will begin and a champion will be crowned later that day.

Don't wait. Register for the Florida open here to reserve your spot. Walkups, of course, are also welcome if you're not sure you will be able to make it.

You should, though. Soak up the sunlight and a weekend of Golden Tee. Now that sounds lovely. For more information on this event and the entire tour visit PEGttour.com. We’ll have much more to come on the Florida Open and other events including the PCC.
