For the first time all month the Golden Tee World Rankings has a new name on top.
North Carolina Great Shot Point machine David Duncan is currently atop the rankings with an average score of –28.20. Duncan is known for his ability to rack up GSPs and his monthly rankings certainly show that. His –29 on Grand Canyon was hit with a cool 132,407 Great Shot Points!
As October winds down, however, there are still plenty of familiar faces that could claim bragging rights in our first monthly contest. Houston golfer Mark Stenmark – who had been tops until only recently taken down – is right on Duncan’s heels with a score of –28.00.
All total, there are twelve players that are currently within a stroke of our leader and with plenty of games yet to be played, you can expect this leaderboard to change between now and November 1st.
For those of you that are still new to this online feature, getting your GT World Ranking is easy. Simply play each 2012 course once (five games total) and you’ll get a leaderboard ranking online. Your best game on each course will be averaged to give you an overall score. This means your ranking will improve throughout the month if you beat your monthly course best.
At the end of the month we’ll reset the rankings and you’ll have a chance to beat your previous month’s score.
To find yourself on the online leaderboard, simply type in your Persona ID, aka the number on the front of your Golden Tee Players Card, and you’ll be taken to the page where you’re currently ranked. If you are playing with a credit card or are unaware of your Persona ID you can find it on home page after logging into your web account. You’ll also be able to see your current ranking in the upper right corner of the payment screen once you check in.
Get your games in before Halloween hits and improve your ranking before we turn the page to a new calendar. Stay tuned to Goldentee.com for a full recap of the first month!
