So this shot works. I suppose we should begin there. We now have visual proof that Hole 4 of Pine Coast—a par-5 with a great deal of water—can be driven. Taking it one step further, this hole can also be aced.
That’s what Jeff Lannen did during this past weekend at Club Lucky’s Tournament of Champions of all places. Not a bad stage for this shot at all.
The tee shot, which ultimately traveled 396 yards before the pin got in the way, was the first but likely not the last super albatross on this hole. This is the SECOND par-5 that has been aced on Pine Coast, if you're searching for the 2017 course with the most early fireworks.
