Power Events’ next tournament is now just over a month away. If you’ve been looking to attend your first event—or even if you’re looking to make your next—take note of this year’s Windy City Open.
The latest PEGT Tour stop will take place on Thursday, June 23 through Sunday, June 26 at Gatsby’s Pizza and Pub in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Gatsby’s is no stranger to this event or the competitive world of Golden Tee. They have always been a spectacular host, and this will be no different in 2016. With some of the game’s best set to come out for the latest event, the atmosphere for the third tournament stop of the year should be electric.
The festivities will commence on Thursday night with both a Closest-to-the-Pin and Money $hot tournament. Entry into the CTTP event is $10; entry into the Money $hot tourney is $15.
Friday night will be all about the handicap event, where anyone has a chance to win and gain entry into Saturday’s main event. Entry into the handicap tournament is $25.
On Saturday, the Windy City Open will begin around noon central with a five-course qualifier to determine the main bracket and seeding. The top 32 players will be placed in the Championship Bracket. All other participants will still be placed in the Purple Bracket.
The following day, double-elimination match play will play out. By late afternoon or early evening, the latest PEGT Tour champion will be crowned. Entry into the main event is $100.
Those interested in signing up now can do so on PEGTtour.com, although walkups for each of the events within the weekend are welcomed. We’ll be there, and we hope you will be, too.
See you in Chicago. We promise that the weather might actually not be terrible! Hopefully.
