After a spectacular showing in St. Louis, the Power Events team is packing up its gear and games and heading north. More specifically, it’s headed to Gatsby’s Pizza and Pub in Arlington Heights—an established Golden Tee location—for the 2015 Windy City Open.

The latest event will take place on Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, June 14. And yes, you can (and should) sign up now on PEGTtour.com before continuing any further.

Festivities kick off that Thursday (June 11) with a Closest-to-the-Pin tournament; entry is just $10. On Friday, the popular handicap tournament will be played where anyone has a chance to win. Entry into this event is $25, and a good portion of the field will win an entry into Saturday’s main event.

Speaking of, the featured tournament will get underway on Saturday at noon. It will begin with a five-course qualifier to determine bracketing and seeding. On Sunday, each bracket will play out with match play and a Windy City Open champion will be crowned early evening.

Although I can rarely say this and actually mean it, Chicago is lovely this time of year. And I also can’t say enough about Gatsby’s—they’ve done it before and done an excellent job.

For those of you who have not attended a PEGT Tour event just yet; make this the one. After having 121 players at their last tournament, the momentum is real. Come out and enjoy a beer, learn a few shots, meet some great people and celebrate the game you love.
