You have said this before taking a Golden Tee shot you should not take, and typically, your hopes and dreams for greatness come crashing down in a giant heap of flames. We know this, because we, too have tried it before.
There are exceptions to this rule, of course, and occasionally a shot with a plan will have results to match. Like this shot.
The par-4 Jack Rabbit 17th has been driven before—not often, but it’s been done—and the giant rock situated alongside of the fairway is proving to be a boost of sorts. Remember the speed boosts on Super Mario Kart? Of course you do.
