Power Events’ Golden Tee Tour is set to resume play in Richmond this weekend. Is there anything else big going on in the world of Golden Tee these days?
Oh, that’s right.
Golden Tee 2013 is out, and some of the game’s best will test out the courses in match play at the NIV (Not in Vegas) X. This marks the 10th tournament overall at Richmond, and the historic Baja Bean will play host to the event once again.
The timing of the 2013 release and the tournament should make for one heck of a weekend, but that’s just the beginning when it comes to this tournament.
Things kick off on Thursday with a Closest-to-the-Pin contest, and entry into this event is only $10. On Friday night, the match play handicap contest will take place and the entry into this event is $25. There will also be free draft beer served from 6 PM until close. Sign. Me. Up.
The tournament will then begin on Saturday with a 5-course qualifier where shots on the new courses will undoubtedly be tried and tested. The top 32 players in the qualifier will then move into the main bracket, which will be double-elimination. On Sunday these matches will play out and a champion will be crowned.
The entry fee for the main tournament is $125, but you’ll get much, much more than access to an outstanding event. Included in this is the free draft beer on Friday, free lunch on Saturday and Sunday, a pig roast, a free t-shirt, entry into a poker tournament (with prizes) that will take place on Saturday night, door prizes and much more.
This is the tournament you want to attend, and you still can. 2013, FREE BEER, great Golden Tee, good people and food, you name it, there’s so many reasons to attend.
