Although the next PEGT Tour event is still more than a month away (more on that coming soon), Power Events is certainly staying busy this summer.
A challenge match has been assembled between Houston’s Mark Stenmark and Missouri Native Evan Gossett. These two duked it out in the finals of the Windy City Open a few weeks ago, and now they’ll tee it up once again with a Power Events Golden Tee Gift Card on the line.
They’ll play a cycle, aka all five courses, with a unique scoring system in place. One point will be awarded for each stroke a player wins by, three points will be awarded to the player with the most Great Shot Points for a round, and five points will be awarded to the winner of each course.
While the two of them will be the ones doing the heavy lifting, you, too can get involved. All five matches will be streamed live, and the games will begin at 7:30 p.m. on June 28th. We will be passing along an appropriate link to the streaming site before the day hits.
Outside of watching two of the best players in the world go head-to-head, this is the PERFECT opportunity to learn a shot, or two, or three in 2012. Although you probably know most of the shots by now, there’s a good chance you’ll learn something watching these guys play. It’ll be entertaining, this much we know, and it’ll like help out your game as well.
Free up your calendar for the evening of the 28th, make sure you have a few cold beverages nearby and get ready to watch one of the more intriguing Golden Tee matches yet, online. Should be fun, stay tuned for more information.
