The 2016 Florida Open
Golden Tee's Tournament Season Kicks Into Gear This February With the PEGT Tour

After a brief timeout, the Golden Tee tournament season returns this February.

For those of you in desperate need of sunshine and warmer weather, look no further than Power Events’ seventh annual Florida Open—the first of six PEGT Tour stops in 2016.

This yearly staple has become a player favorite. It’s not just because of the weather, although that part doesn’t hurt. It’s more about the timing, the people and the location.

Backstage Billiards in Orlando will play host yet again, which is wonderful news. The event will take place between February 18 and February 21.

The festivities will start on Thursday night with a double-elimination Closest to the Pin Contest. Entry is just $10. The next day, the focus will turn to the Handicap Tournament where anyone in the room has a chance to win. Entry into this event is $25.

On Saturday, the main event will begin with a five-course qualifier on the 2016 courses. The 32 players with the top combined scores will be placed into the Main Bracket. Everyone else will play in the Purple Bracket.

Double-elimination match play will begin on Sunday. Later that day, the first champion of 2016 will be crowned. Entry into the main event is $110.

Included in this entry is a free buffet on Saturday, along with an opportunity to go shoulder to shoulder with some of the game’s most established players. Whether you’re in it to win it or simply there to kick back a few beers while playing Golden Tee with great people, by all means come on by.

Don't wait for spring; enjoy the Florida warmth and a weekend full jam-packed with Golden Tee. It all starts up again on February 18.
