Power Events’ Golden Tee Tour is heading north. Next up on the tournament circuit is the magnificent Minnesota Classic.
The event will take place on August 20 through August 23 at Panino Brother in Eden Prairie—a location with space, patio and tremendous food. In late August, it will become the epicenter of Golden Tee.
The festivities will kick off Thursday with a double-elimination Closest-to-the-Pin contest. Entry into this event is just $10. On Friday, the focus will turn to the increasingly popular handicap contest: entry into this event, where you can win entry into the big tournament or more, is $25.
On Saturday, the main event will start at noon with the five-course qualifier to determine seeding. The top 32 players will be placed into the gold bracket, and everyone else will still compete in the purple bracket.
On Sunday, match play will begin and the double-elimination event will play out until a Minnesota champion is crowned.
You do not want to miss it. With an outstanding buzz of local talent, a location seemingly constructed for an event of this magnitude and Power Events’ superb ability to execute live events, Minnesota promises to provide a bit of everything.
Whether you’re in it to win it or you simply want to watch some of the game’s elite players duke it out over a beer or two, we encourage you to check it out.
Wanna sign up? You can do that now at PEGTtour.com, which also has a full rundown of this event and the rest of the tour in 2015. Walkups are also welcome, so feel free to show up the day of the event if you would like to play.
We’ll have much more on the Minnesota Classic soon, including a full recap.
