The holiday season is here, and Golden Tee’s holiday tournament is closing in fast.
Power Events’ Dallas Holiday Classic sponsored by TaylorMade Golf will kick off on Thursday, December 6th at Volcanos Bar and Grill, and the year’s final event will get the sendoff it deserves.
The PEGT Tour has made stops all over the country in 2012, and their final Dallas stop will crown two champions. First, we’ll watch a winner from the Dallas tournament play his way to the title and a Player of the Year will be crowned shortly after.
On Thursday, December 6th the weekend will kick off with a Closest to the Pin contest for those that come in a day early. The following day, an afternoon doubles tournament will begin at 12:30 PM and then a handicap tournament will start at 7:30 that night.
The Dallas Holiday Classic will then begin at noon on Saturday with a five-course qualifier. Any and everyone are encouraged to play, and entry into this event is $100. The top thirty-two players to register the best combined score will advance to the gold bracket.
Match play will then begin later on Saturday and on Sunday, the Dallas Holiday Classic champion will be crowned. Typically this would be the end of the tournament weekend, but that is not the case here.
The Player of the Year Tournament will begin shortly after the Classic is complete, and the thirty-two players who have racked up the most PEGT Tour Points throughout the six events in 2012 will have one more tournament before the calendars turn.
The winner of that event will walk home with a solid top prize, a RocketBallz Driver and coveted Player of the Year honors. Second place will take home a RocketBallz 3-wood. A TaylorMade golf bag will also be raffled off throughout the weekend.
