After a brief break in the action, Power Events’ Golden Tee Tour is set to kick into gear once again. The second half of the tour is still on the schedule, and the 2012 Denver Open gets things started.
Jackson’s will host the tournament on August 9th through the 12th, which happens to be in the heart of downtown Denver. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway as summer slowly winds down – and you’re a fan of Golden Tee (which you are) – than this could be the perfect getaway.
On Thursday, August 9th the weekend will get underway with a CTTP contest that costs only $10 to enter. The following evening will feature the handicap tournament, where 25% of the field will win their Denver Open tour tournament entry.
The actual Denver Open will begin Saturday with a 5-course qualifier to determine that 32-man tournament bracket. Entry into this tournament is $100, and both Power Events and Jackson’s will be contributing money towards what will be a substantial prize pool.
On Sunday, the main brackets and purple brackets will each participate in double-elimination match play, and a champion will be crowned early evening.
For more information on the tournament or to sign up, visit the official tournament thread on Underdogsports.net. Also be sure to check out Power Events' website for more information on this tourney and others set to take place in 2012.
We’ll have much more information on this event as it nears, but we encourage you to attend (Golden Tee, beautiful bar, good people, beer, you can't lose) and setup your accommodations ASAP.
