2023 Florida Open Wrap-Up
What a weekend, friends!

The 14th Annual PEGT Florida Open has come to an end, and we're finally breaking free of the exhaustion that follows anyone who attends one of these incredible events. Friends, this was one for the GT history books. We witnessed one of Golden Tee's best ascend to greatness among a stacked field of competition, and welcomed another to the annals of GT legend. We shouldn't speak for everyone here, but we're going to anyway. This was one of the best GT events of all time.

CTTP Winner Sean Gervais with Runner-Up Paul Luna

Sean Gervais kicked off the weekend's festivities with a win in Thursday's Closest to the Pin contest, with Paul Luna, Jason Loschiavo, and Ryan McCook finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.

Friday's Handicap Tourney went off without a hitch, affording players the opportunity to play for a shot at covering their entry fee in the Main Event. There were a lot of great matches played throughout the day, so be sure to hit the link to watch a replay of the stream if you missed it.

Saturday's Qualifier was hard fought, with players taking on five of the six currently available GT 2022 courses for their best scores and point values, and their place among the Main Event brackets. There were some surprising performances, but to the surprise of no-one, Mr. Andy Haas stood atop the field and Gold Bracket at the end of the day. Which takes us into Championship Sunday...and what a day it was, friends. If you weren't there, and you didn't watch the stream live, we STRONGLY recommend you hit the link below to watch AT LEAST the last hour of the 13+ hour day.

Sideline's and the stream chat were electric, as incredible GT play widdled away the field of competition one match at a time. Andy Haas found himself in the finals of the Gold Bracket, squaring off against this event's King of the Hill, Paul Tayloe, who would go on to claim this year's title. This is generally where the stream would wrap, but the games to follow were too damn hype to leave on the table.

Jamie Arrington met Brittany Casper in the second annual Ladies Tourney, and while Jamie took the first round from Brittany (who was Queen of the Hill), she'd recover to take the second round, the title, AND a 2024 Worlds Pass for her efforts! Congrats, Brittany!

The event didn't end there for Jamie Arrington, as she found herself in the Purple Bracket finals against Gerard Montigny, following a series of incredible wins against a long line of GT veterans including former Florida Open Champion, Andy Fox. Jamie went on to take the Purple Bracket Championship in sudden death with a skillful hole-in-one on hole 17 of Champ '99. She took home a 2024 Worlds Pass for her efforts, making her the FIRST player to hold TWO simultaneously. Stay tuned to our social media channels for more on this absolutely incredible feat from GT's newest celebrity.

We said it before, and we'll say it again, friends. This was one for the books. For those who were unable to make it...shame on you. (We kid, we kid.) We're already missing our GT brethren, and we can't wait to do it all again in Sussex. See ya in Wisconsin, friends!
