Welcome to the Design-a-Hole finals! After hours upon hours of dissection, our prestigious DAH judges have narrowed a group of nearly 150 down to 10. One of the 10 finalists will become a playable hole in Golden Tee 2017! But before we get there, we need your help.
Over the next 10 business days, we will reveal all 10 finalists—one per day—and open up the floor for commentary and feedback. What did you really like? Which design would you like to play most? What do you wish was different? These comments will ultimately help our judges narrow the 10 finalists down to three and ultimately pick a winner!
So, once again, you are a very important piece to this portion of the contest.
Without further delay, here is Finalist No. 3 (click to enlarge and check the description below the photo):
The Knee (Par-5) by Dan Croutch
I have attached my rough design for consideration in the contest. This is a 525 yard short par 5 which can be easily changed into a long par 4. Large bunkers, straddling a stream, force the player to chose hitting short or going long. A hard dogleg right means a short tee short leaves you still two shots from the green. Shooting over a stream to a small green. The green is elevated steeply, with the short fringe running off into a waiting stream. Front bunker is 287 yards to front, 340 to carry.
So... What do you think? Share your feedback below or on the Golden Tee Facebook Page!
