Summer is nearing its end, but the Golden Tee action couldn't be hotter with Power Events' return with the 3rd annual Queen City Classic coming up next weekend in Mason, OH!
This year’s event returns to James' Third Base Bar & Grill after two straight years of wonderful success.
The 4th stop on PEGT's National Tour starts one week from today on Thursday, August 23 and goes through Sunday, August 26.
The tournament weekend gets kicked off on Thursday with a Closest-to-the-Pin event and a best two-out-of-three Money Shot event starting around 7:30 p.m.. The entry fee for both events is $10 each and they will be double-elimination.
On Friday, focus will shift to the handicap tournament. It will begin roughly at 7:30 p.m. and be single-elimination. Entry is $25, and you must have a valid GT handicap to enter. Players who finish in the top 25 percent of the handicap tournament will win their entry into the tournament’s main event on Saturday!
The Queen City Classic's main event will begin at Noon on Saturday. Tournament entry is $100 with an additional hole-in-one side pot that costs $20 to enter.
On Sunday, double-elimination match play will decide the winners of both Gold and purple brackets as we work to crown the 2018 Queen City Classic Open Champion!
Throughout the weekend players will also be able to get their hands on the first playable version of Golden Tee 2019, as we will have a beta available at the tournament!
Since 2018 Indy Open winner Andy Haas will not be in attendance, who will reign supreme at the next tournament of 2018? 2017 Champion Paul Luna has a few victories under his belt in 2018, so is there a chance that we will see him go back-to-back at the Queen City Classic? We also can't rule out 2018 World Champion Evan Gossett continuing his streak of playing well and winning major events.
For more information or to sign up, visit PEGTtour.com or check out the Facebook page for the event. Walk ups are always welcome as well.
Golden Tee TV will be providing LIVE video coverage of the event throughout the weekend.
