Celebrate New Year’s Eve in New York City, playing one of the most storied Golden Tee courses ever created with enormous prizes on the line.
Now, you don’t actually have to be in NYC to participate. In fact, all you have to do is head to your local Golden Tee establishment on December 31 and play in the Daily Contest.
Golden Tee’s Big Apple creation, Rustic Bridge, will send us into 2015 in style. Forget about watching the ball drop once; you’ll be able to see it drop 18 times and even more if you so desire. For those who participated in our day-before-thanksgiving tournament on Bonnie Moor, this should look familiar. We’re rebooting this event after a magnificent turnout back in November, although there are some differences.
The timing—December 31, New Year’s Eve— has changed, as has the venue. (Of course we’re playing in New York City; it’s New Year’s Eve after all.)
But the theme of this special Daily Contest event will look a lot like November’s one-day tournament.
The prize pool will see an added bump. Forget about $1,100, we’re starting this off at $1,600, and it is expected to grow throughout the day. Our previous Daily Contest special one-day event finished with a prize pool of more than $4,500 and a top prize of over $400! The top five spots each paid over $100, and 400th placed walked away with more than four bucks!
Regardless of where this prize pool ends up, the top prize will start at $150 and the top 400 finishers will be winners. As is the case with each and every Daily Contest, you can play as many times as you wish to improve your score.
Your best score between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on December 31 will be the one that is used and shown on the Daily Contest Leaderboard. The moment the actual ball drops and the we hit 2015, the special Daily Contest event will come to a close.
Mark it down in your calendars: December 31, Rustic Bridge. You are invited to the only NYE party you need.
Let us close out the year in style, by awarding enormous prizes on a course we all absolutely adore. This is your invitation; see you all there. Oh, and don’t forget the champagne.
