It will be about Golden Tee 2015. It will be about the free beer. It will be about the pig roast.
The NIV (Whatever)—Golden Tee’s most storied tournament, so storied that we stopped counting—will be a weekend celebration of epic proportions with some of the people who have made this game special for 25 years.
And you really, really need to come.
Power Events and NIV mastermind—and overall Golden Tee ambassador—Jefe Alums will host the NIV on October 2 through October 5 at the historic Baja Bean in Richmond. Free beer, a poker tournament, a free lunch buffet, prizes, t-shirts and more, this tournament has everything.
It also has 2015.
In what has become tradition of sorts, this tournament will serve as the first true test on all five new courses. If you’re looking for tips on how to play these designs—and we could all use a little help right now—you want to make it to the Bean.
The weekend begins on Thursday, October 2 with a Closest-to-the-Pin tournament. Entry is only $10. On Friday, the handicap tournament will take place (entry is $25) and literally everyone in the room has a chance to win.
Saturday will kick off the main event with a five-course qualifier. Entry into the tournament is $125, although this includes the food and drinks mentioned above along with a t-shirt and a special Golden Tee Player Card.
On Sunday, when the main bracket is set, double-elimination match play will begin and a champion will be crowned.
