Nashville Welcomes Golden Tee Tour
Players from across the country head to Nashville for one of the National Golden Tee Tour's premier events of the season.

Golden Tee players from across the country are making their way to TNT Billiards Bar and Grill for the sixth annual Music City Madness Open, taking place August 6th through August 9th. As another premier stop on the National Golden Tee Tour, the weekend features days of competition and another opportunity for players to build momentum as the 2026 Golden Tee season continues. With Nashville's vibrant atmosphere and a strong field expected, Music City Madness is once again shaping up to be one of the Tour’s marquee events.

The weekend gets underway Thursday night with the Closest to the Pin contest beginning at 7:30 p.m. The event carries a $20 entry fee, with Power Events adding an additional $5 per player to the prize pool.

Friday afternoon begins at noon with the Blind Draw Doubles tournament, pairing "A" and "B" players in a double-elimination format on classic courses. Entry is $35 per person, with $5 from every entry donated to charity. Tournament officials may adjust the format depending on participation and pace of play.

Friday evening shifts to the Handicap Tournament at 7:30 p.m., a single-elimination match play event based on each player's Golden Tee handicap. Players must have a valid Golden Tee player card or Golden Tee ID to compete. The $30 entry fee gives competitors a chance to earn a satellite qualification into Saturday's Main Event.

The Main Event begins Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with a five-course qualifier played across five of nine randomly selected courses. With $8,000 added to the prize pool, players will battle for one of the coveted top 32 spots that advance into Sunday's Championship Bracket. Everyone else will continue competing in the Purple, Pink, or Copper (If needed) Brackets, ensuring every player remains in the action throughout the weekend.

Saturday night keeps things rolling with another Blind Draw Doubles tournament at 7:30 p.m., this time played on current 2026 courses. There may be adjustments to the format based on participation and timing.

Championship Sunday bracket play begins at 11:00 a.m. for the Purple, Pink, and Copper divisions before the Main Championship Bracket starts at noon. Every bracket will use a double-elimination format with all matches. The winner of the Purple Bracket will also earn a coveted pass to the 2027 Golden Tee World Championship, adding even more importance to every match.

Located just 15 minutes from Nashville International Airport, TNT Billiards Bar and Grill provides players with a spacious tournament room and has become one of the National Golden Tee Tour's favorite destinations.

With great competition, plenty of side events, and another exciting stop on the National Golden Tee Tour, the Music City Madness Open promises an unforgettable weekend for players and fans alike.

Did you miss the excitement that was the Missouri Open? Here’s a short recap and you can read and watch all of the action here.

Main Bracket

Missouri native JD Hopwood captured his first National Golden Tee Tour Main Bracket title after an impressive Sunday run through a stacked field. He defeated Gordy Brown, James Hickey, former World Champion Paul Tayloe, and Burak Temel in the finals. A clutch 48-yard chip on Elkhorn Ridge's 11th hole gave Hopwood the edge in a tightly contested championship match, and he never looked back, sealing the victory with another pressure chip on the 18th hole.

Purple Bracket

Jamie Arrington added another championship to her already remarkable Golden Tee résumé by claiming her second Purple Bracket title. After surviving an overtime battle with Rhys Wahleithner to reach the finals, Arrington overcame early trouble in the rematch and rallied to secure the win. The victory earned her another World Championship berth and further cemented her legacy as the most accomplished female player in Golden Tee history.

Pink Bracket

Chris Ivens dominated the Pink Bracket from start to finish, completing an undefeated run through the tournament. After defeating Greg Bader early in the bracket, Ivens met him again in the finals, where he closed out the championship with a commanding -24 to -21 victory on Hawkeye Hills. His consistent play capped a flawless weekend and completed the trio of undefeated bracket champions.
