St. Cloud, Florida – January 30th - February 2nd, 2025 – The Golden Tee National Tour returns to the Sunshine State with the highly anticipated Florida Open at Sidelines Sports Grill. As the first stop on the 2025 calendar, this tournament always has intense competition, large viewership, and the opportunity for multiple players to secure their place at the 2026 Golden Tee World Championship. With over $25,000 in the prize pool and over 160 players expected to compete, this tournament will give the players and viewers their first look at the new tee & pins for the 2025 courses along with the additional three new Reteed courses that will be in play. The Florida Open will set the tone for another electrifying year of Golden Tee action!
Last year’s Texas tournament showcased incredible talent, setting the stage for what’s to come in Florida. Paul Luna ended 2024 on a high note, taking home his first Player of the Yeartitle and second place in the Holiday Classic in Texas. With his exceptional performance let’s see if he can keep that momentum moving into the Florida Open. Chris Juszczyk, another standout in Texas, made his best run on the National Golden Tee Tour to date, securing an impressive third-place finish. Along the way, he defeated top-tier players like Paul Tayloe, Steve Beattie, and Andy Fox, proving he is a force to be reckoned with.
Meanwhile, Andy Haas continues to solidify his legacy as one of the greatest players in Golden Tee history. Haas wonfour out of six National Golden Tee Tournaments in 2024, including a win at last year’s Florida Open and the Dallas Holiday Classic, Haas’ dominance is currently unmatched. His performance in 2024 only reaffirms his status as the player to beat, and all eyes are always on him as he defends his Florida Open title.
The Florida Open kicks off on Thursday, January 30th, with the Closest to the Pin contest, followed by a packed schedule of events designed to challenge players of all skill levels. Highlights include the Blind Draw Doubles Tournament on Friday, the Handicap Tournament later that evening, and the Main Event Qualifier on Saturday. The competition culminates on Sunday with the Main Event finals, where the top 32 qualifiers will face off in a double-elimination Main bracket. The rest of the players will be seeded in their respected brackets of Purple, Pink, and possibly Copper divisions.
Now in its fourth year, the Florida Open is also home to the women’s tournaments on the Golden Tee National Tour.The women’s bracket has become a staple of this event. With a 2026 Golden Tee World Championship pass up for grabs, this year’s competition promises to be fierce. Jamie Arrington has made a name for herself by dominating the field, securing two victories out of the three tournaments held so far and reaching the finals every year. But with Brittany Casper, the 2023 Florida Open Women’s Champion, returning for another shot at the title, we will see if she can claim her second win or if we’ll witness a new name rising to the occasion. The women’s bracket finals will close out the this year's event!
