As we get ready for the release of GT PGA TOUR 2027 in the coming weeks, we're passing along the message below from the development team regarding equipment.

As we approach the launch of Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2027, which means new courses, new game modes and plenty more, we’re announcing a series of equipment modifications that will take effect when the update first hits locations on September 21st for Early Access.

We have spent the past few years looking more closely at our equipment, the overall usage and how it meshes with Golden Tee. We feel the launch of the 2027 update, along with the sunsetting of Golden Tee LIVE, is an appropriate time to balance out certain offerings and begin a multi-year rebalancing of equipment being offered.

We believe this will create more variety, bring an element of challenge back into specific shots and make the game more compelling. This movement also aligns with certain directions we wish to take Golden Tee this year and beyond.

We will be transparent about the changes we make, and we plan to be more active with modifications in the future. Here are the adjustments that will go into effect on Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2027 games when the update launches.

Club Adjustments

The 6-Wood, 7-Wood, 8-Wood and 9-Wood have all received loft and performance tweaks to create a better balance between the four club offerings. The 7-wood’s base distance will now be 210 yards; the 8-wood’s base distance will now be 200 yards. All four fairway woods will see a decrease in loft as well.

This will take effect on all club sets that include these woods, along with Build-a-Bags that use any variation of these clubs.

Ball Adjustments

The Cosmos will receive two modifications in Golden Tee PGA TOUR 2027. The travel distance on that ball will be decreased, putting it largely in the same area as some of the game’s “distance” balls. The bounce adjustment has also been altered, giving the ball additional attributes that were intended for its original inception.

Stout & Breeze Balls will see a decrease in performance when it comes to nullifying wind, cutting the current impact roughly in half.

Additionally, the Drizzle ball has received slightly updated attributes when it comes to its performance on the wind, with the impact still less than what the Stout/Breeze balls offer.
