Wisconsin Open Hits Sussex Bowl
Sussex Bowl hosts another marquee National Tour stop!

Golden Tee players from across the Midwest and beyond are heading to Sussex Bowl in Sussex, Wisconsin for the Wisconsin Open, taking place March 12th through March 15th. As the next stop on the National Golden Tee Tour, this weekend brings another World Championship berth on the line, a prize pool estimated at $30,000, and four days of competitive Golden Tee action in one of the Tour’s most reliable host venues. Don’t forget Sunday’s staple of crabs and slabs!

The Wisconsin Open Main Event headlines the weekend with a five-course qualifier played Saturday at 11:00 a.m., featuring five of nine randomly selected courses. The top 32 players will advance to Sunday’s Championship Bracket, while the remaining competitors move into the Purple, Pink, or Copper Brackets (if needed). This ensures meaningful match play across the entire field. Top qualifiers will also earn $50 Power Events Golden Tee Gift Cards, and players can opt into a $20 Hole-in-One side pot during qualifying.

The weekend begins Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. with a Closest to the Pin contest. With a $20 entry fee and an additional $5 per player added to the prize pool by Power Events, it’s the perfect way to dial in before the main competition begins.

Friday afternoon at noon features the Blind Draw Doubles tournament, pairing “A” and “B” players together in a double-elimination format. Played on classic courses, matches are 18 holes on the winner’s side and 9 holes on the loser’s side, with adjustments possible based on field size and pace of play. Entry is $35 per person, and $5 from each entry will be donated to PMGB charity which adds a larger purpose to the competition. Friday night continues at 7:30 p.m. with the Handicap Tournament, a single-elimination qualifier based on the player’s Golden Tee handicap. With a $30 entry fee and a Main Event spot up for grabs, it offers players a direct path into Saturday’s Main Event.

Saturday night keeps the momentum rolling with another Blind Draw Doubles tournament at 7:30 p.m., this time played on current courses. The double-elimination format mirrors Friday’s structure, giving players another opportunity to compete under the lights after a full day of qualifying. This will only be held if there is time on Saturday night.

Sunday is reserved for Championship Sunday. Bracket matches begins at 11:00 a.m. for Purple, Pink, and Copper Brackets. The Main Bracket will be teeing off at noon. The winner of the Purple Bracket will earn a pass to the 2027 Golden Tee World Championship, raising the stakes for players battling just outside the top 32.

The Wisconsin Open is built for players who thrive on long days, tight matches, and a little bracket drama. With significant added money from Sussex Bowl, World Championship implications, and a full slate of side events, Sussex Bowl once again becomes a centerpiece of the National Golden Tee Tour calendar.

If you missed any of the action from the Florida Open, below is a recap and you can catch all the coverage on Golden Tee’s YouTube channel.

The 2026 Florida Open at Sidelines Sports Grill in St. Cloud once again delivered a high-level showcase for the National Golden Tee Tour, blending seasoned veterans with rising young talent. Paul Luna led Saturday qualifying with a staggering -146 and 124,000 GSP, while Andy Haas fired a -33 on Kings Canyon to highlight a stacked leaderboard. The Young Guns Challenge underscored the future of the game, with Bryce Albert edging AJ Haas and Luke Rataj in a tightly contested two-course showdown. In bracket play, Jamie Arrington claimed the Women’s title and a 2027 Worlds pass, Shaun Kennedy captured the Pink bracket for his second career Tour win, and Kyle Heasley went undefeated to secure his 2027 Worlds berth in Purple. The Main bracket once again belonged to Andy Haas, who earned his 22nd National Tour victory, fending off a surging field that included Chris Juszczyk, Bryce Albert, and Burak Temel. The Florida Open reinforced a clear theme: the gap between Golden Tee royalty and the next generation continues to narrow as the Tour heads to Wisconsin.
