Florida Open Kicks Off 2026 Golden Tee Tour
The Florida Open launches the 2026 tour with nonstop Golden Tee action.

Golden Tee players from across the country are heading to Sidelines Sports Grill in St. Cloud, Florida for the first stop of the National Golden Tee Tour of 2026! From Thursday, January 29th through Sunday, February 1st, the Florida Open takes center stage in the Golden Tee community. With $7,000 added to the main event, a Women’s Tournament, and more opportunities to earn a pass to the 2027 Golden Tee World Championships, this weekend promises days of high-level Golden Tee action.

The Florida Open Main Event is the marquee attraction, featuring a five-course qualifier and a deep double-elimination bracket that keeps players battling all the way through Sunday. Like every major Golden Tee weekend, the Florida Open has its own traditions that make it stand out. The Women’s Tournament will award its winner a direct entry into the 2027 Golden Tee World Championships, highlighting a weekend that places a strong emphasis inclusivity across the Golden Tee community.

The action begins Thursday night with a Closest to the Pin contest at 7:30 p.m., where players can test their precision. Friday keeps rolling with the Blind Draw Doubles tournament at noon. Played on classic courses, this double-elimination event pairs “A” and “B” players together. Friday night wraps up with the Handicap Tournament at 7:30 p.m., a match-play satellite qualifier that levels the playing field and offers free path into the main event.

Saturday is when the Florida Open truly gets underway. The Main Event qualifier begins at 11:00 a.m., with players taking on five randomly selected 2026 courses. Don’t forget that there will be four newly added courses to the 2026 carousel! The top 32 players advance to Sunday’s Championship Bracket, while the remaining field continues competing in the Purple, Pink, and possibly Copper Brackets, ensuring everyone stays in the hunt. All women will qualify on Saturday and be placed into both the Main Event and Women’s Event brackets, setting up a full slate of match play on Sunday.

Saturday night brings even more action with a Blind Draw Doubles tournament at 7:30 p.m., this time played on current courses. With a fast-paced double-elimination format, it’s the perfect way to cap off a long day of competition. Like all National Golden Tee Tournaments, Saturday night doubles is always on TBD.

Sunday is championship bracket play beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Women’s Tournament will kick off in the morning, followed by Purple, Pink, and Copper brackets at 11:00 a.m., and the Main Event Championship Bracket starting at 12:00 p.m. Winners of both the Purple Bracket and the Women’s Bracket will earn passes to the 2027 Golden Tee World Championships!

For players, the Florida Open is more than just another stop on the calendar. It’s a full-scale Golden Tee weekend packed with warm weather, competition, and community! There will be long days, clutch shots, and memorable moments that define your experience.

With affordable flying and lodging options throughout the area and St. Cloud’s proximity to Orlando, the Florida Open is set up to be a destination event that delivers both on and off the machine.
