14 years straight and counting! That's right, the Design-a-Hole contest has been running for 14 consecutive years! Let's get the best part out first. Yes, we are giving away a Golden Tee Home Edition to the winner! Each year we receive tons of designs in all kinds of forms! One might do a black and white sketch on a notepad. Another might do a full scale design in a computer program. One might also draw it on a bar napkin that they thought of while playing Golden Tee! All forms of designs are accepted and put in the running!
This is year's Design-a-Hole theme is NO LIMIT! There are no limits to what you design. It can be tropical, mountainous, at a golf club, in the swamps, or wherever you can think of. It can be a par 3,4, or 5! Let your imagination flow and design the next hole in Golden Tee!
The rules haven't changed from the 2021 Design-a-Hole creation. The prizes might have changed slightly but we are still giving a Golden Tee Home Edition to the winner.
This winner will receive their very own Golden Tee Home Edition—a $4,000 top prize on top of the joy that comes with becoming a part of the most storied arcade game ever made. They will also have a week dedicated to them where they get to decide that week’s Monday Mix-up course and design their own Freaky Friday. Their design duties won’t simply end with their dream golf hole. Prizes for places 2 through 10 will be announced soon!
So there you have it GT fans! It's time to get out there and start designing the newest hole in Golden Tee!

You can submit as many par-3s, 4s and 5s as you like to email@example.com. Submit one. Submit 100. The more the merrier.
You can draw them, CAD them, color them, pen them, explain them—however you feel your design would be best explained and showcased is up to you/ Draw it, build it, name it and then submit it. If you do that, you have a chance at being a part of and winning the game you love.

How our Winner Will be Decided
Once the submission period of the Design-a-Hole Contest closes, our prestigious Design-a-Hole judges—a group led by course designer and Golden Tee co-creator Jim Zielinski—will go to work.
Over the weeks that follow, these judges will sift through each and every design submitted. They will analyze distances and concepts and originality and how well each design could translate into the game.
On May 7th, we will reveal the first Design-a-Hole finalist on LIVEWIRE, Instagram and Twitter and the Golden Tee Facebook Page. For the next two weeks, we will reveal all 10 finalists and allow the many fans of this game to have their say on which designs they like best. Whether you submit or not, your feedback is critical. This will ultimately shape the next step of the process—when the judges narrow down a group of 10 to three and eventually one.
We will narrow this group down one—crowning this year’s champion on May 28th!
So… Any Parting Advice?
Of course, and we’ll have plenty more to say in the weeks ahead.
The beauty of this contest is that you have full control in what you design—how hard, how easy, how short, how long, etc. You are the architect.
The Golden Tee judges LOVE creativity. They love thought put into a design—the risk vs. reward aspects that make a great golf hole. They love originality. But they also love simplicity, and finding a balance of creativity and playability is ultimately what they’re looking for.
Is this distance possible in Golden Tee? What about elevation? What about the location? Imagine playing the designs you create—would translate into the game you love? If so, you’re on the right track.
You don’t need to be an artist. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece. Just dream up your golf holes, explain them (if you like), name them and send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have fun. You know the game, and show us what you would love to see. And if your idea is just right, your Golden Tee life will change forever.
