One of Golden Tee’s most celebrated weekends of the year is less than a month away.
Power Events’ Missouri Open will take place on April 21 through April 24 at Redbirds Sports Café in Hazelwood.
This location has become synonymous in recent years; it’s also within walking distance from a handful of local hotels, which is a wonderful touch for those considering playing. On that note, you should really consider playing.
Whether you’re in it to win it or in it to have a few beers and play some Golden Tee, the atmosphere at this tournament is both inviting and competitive. Looking for help on holes and shots? Want to see some of the game’s best in action? Want to get away for a weekend and enjoy a weekend playing the greatest game on earth? Here’s your chance.
It all starts Thursday night with two fantastic events. A Closest-to-the-Pin contest will take place at 7:30; entry into this event is just $10. And 90 minutes later, Power Events will host its first ever Money $hot event. Entry into this contest is just $15.
On Friday, the popular handicap tournament will take place, where many entries into the main event will be handed out.
Entry into this is $25, and literally anyone with a Golden Tee handicap can win.
The main event will kick off on Saturday with a five-course qualifier. Entry into the main event is $100. Each player participating will play all 2016 courses to determine the main bracket and seeding.
The top 32 qualifiers will play in the gold bracket, although all players will participate in matches on Sunday. By Sunday evening, a champion will be crowned.
While each and every PEGT Tour event is special in its own way, there is no doubt that the Missouri Open has managed to separate itself in many ways. It’s the location, the convenience of accommodations, the abundance of talent in the room and perhaps even the time of year.
For whatever reason, this has become a weekend that you really don’t want to miss. We will be there, and we hope you will join us.
Ready to sign up? You can do that here, although walkups the day of are always welcome.
