The halfway point of Power Events’ Golden Tee Tour is nearly upon us, and this weekend the Golden Tee tournament action will take place at The House Pub in St. Charles, Illinois for the Windy City Open.

$5,000 has been added into the Windy City Open prize pool, and PEGT Tour points are also up for grabs. And while the tourney is nearly here, there’s still time to sign up and be a part of one of the bigger Golden Tee weekends of 2012.

The event will kick off with a Closest-to-the Pin Contest on Thursday night. Entry into this event is only $10, and this form of competition has proven to be the ultimate equalizer. The handicap tournament will take place on Friday and literally everyone has a shot of taking home the title. Entry into this tourney is just $25, and 25% of the field will win a free entry into Saturday’s tournament.

On Saturday, the main event will begin with a five-course qualifier to determine seeding. Entry into this event is $100. The top 32 players will then tee off in match play tournament on Sunday and the 2012 Windy City Open champion will be crowned later that day!
